My New Arrival - Chic & Stylish Linkup.

Morning my friends.
Hope you’re okay and have had a wonderful weekend and an even better week!
Apologies for missing a post on Monday it’s been hectic and guess what … the baby has arrived!

I’ve been away with some friends for a long weekend and I’ve had an amazing time. Eleven friends and I celebrated a 60th birthday in Southwold which is in Suffolk. I’d planned to travel up with some of the other girls on Friday but the safe arrival of my baby grand …. Daughter gave me other plans!  Yes you read correctly Emily had a little girl and she’s as cute and as gorgeous as a little baby can be! Violet arrived on Thursday, so I wanted to make sure they were safely back home before I left! So I made an early start on Saturday morning feeling smug doing the journey on my own without any mistakes - I arrived just before 11 to join in the fun. X

So as you can imagine it’s been a very mixed weekend and a very busy beginning of the week with lots of happy times. We’re all so excited and I for one have had plenty of cuddles with the new bundle of joy.

Items marked with * have been gifted to me, however these are 100% my own honest comments

I thought I’d share a summer dress with a winter-ised twist! This hanker-chief hemmed beauty has been gifted to me from Izabel Clothing company I’ve worked with plenty of  times in the past and quite honesty I adore all their clothes.

This pretty pink sleeveless dress* is a lightweight fabric that’s perfect for those winter sun holidays when you can pop over a pashmina to keep you warm in the evening but what happens when you want to wear it back home? Well why not try this idea and add boots, a tee shirt and long line blazer! Do head over via the link above to see the other styles on offer, they range from summer classic styles to trendy knitted dresses and co-ords with jumper and jackets available too.

I’m really liking the hem line, it’s a handkerchief style which means the hem is different lengths and goes down to points, it’s quite a feminine style and reminds me of my cousin’s wedding dress in the 80’s. Is it a style you wear?
The waist is a stretchy elasticated style which is brilliant to wear and ever-so-comfy so not only is it perfect for this season with layers but come the summer months it’ll be great for summer holidays when restricted clothes are not what we want to wear, can I get a holla on that?

I paired this half shirt dress style (buttons run from neck to waist) with a long line cream tweed blazer.  I’ve also got a Tee shirt on under it as it’s sleeveless and long boots. I’d also pop either tights or leggings under it for when it’s really chilly!

I’m glad you understand why I was non-existent on Monday and hope you can forgive me, I’ll see you next week when I’m sharing a new trench coat with you.
